This morning we are finishing breakfast at our hotel in South Africa. Then we are headed to Zambia. Karen, Gil, and Derrick while be headed to Lusaka to get all the paperwork.
The group just landed in South Africa with 19 team members and our 42 bags. Last night was Brittany’s birthday, which she celebrated during our 18 hour flight. We’ll spend the night here, and leave for Ndola tomorrow.
The students have finished writing the letters to sponsors, and the letters are packed and ready to come to America after the July-August mission trip. Volunteers from St. John Lutheran Church in Roanoke, VA, packed 500 care kits for Zambia, and thousands of cloth-rolled bandages were also made for the medical mission in July.
