Sunday: Ndola Airport
We celebrated Anthony’s birthday on the plane, and Chrissy made a well-wishing announcement on the plane to Ndola. This is our second of four birthdays that we will be having during the trip.
When arrived at Ndola airport, everything seemed to be going well at first. All of our bags were waived through without any of them really being inspected. We got the truck loaded, and just at the moment we were ready to leave, we received word that the Regulatory commissioners suddenly wanted to see us at their office in the city so they could inspect everything.
We drove the team through the city and Karen met with the officials, whom were very nice and accommodating. After clarifying a few medical questions, we were back on the road.
