Thursday: Mansansa
Mansansa is tucked away behind some hills and is surrounded by a large, sprawling network of back roads, nut trees, and buildings. It is miles away from the Congo border.
The clinic went very well today, despite Dr. Henry coming down with a cold and being unable to attend.
When we got back to the lodge Karen received a lovely letter, which she read to the group during dinner, from Mr. Zimba who helped to coordinate the clinic.
We celebrated Dr. Henry’s son’s birthday tonight as well with a cake, but no candles as is tradition. His name Henry too so we affectionately call him “H2.”
