School Report (Weeks 9,10,& 11) and Graduation
Dear Karen,
All has been well at school. The graduation ceremony went on well. The kids and there parents and guardians were very happy to witness their children complete the primary school course. We have moved a step further in the history of our school.
FOODSTUFFS
On the 30Th of October, 2012, we received the following foodstuffs;
1. 11 bags of melie meal
2. 25kg milk
3. 10 kg salt
4. 5 sacks of chunks
5. 4 litres of juice
6. 12x350g axion paste
7. 30 kg buka fish
8. 12 gallons of kapenta
9. 30 litres of cooking oil
10. 8 gallons of beans
11. veges, tomatoes and onions
12. 40 bars of laundry soap
On 14th November,2012, we received the following foodstuffs;
1. 11 bags of melie meal
2. 30 litres cooking oil
3. 40 bars laundry soap
4. 4 litres juice
5. 5kg salt
6. veges, tomatoes and onions
7. 25kg milk
8. 12 gallons kapenta
9. 7 sacks chunks
10. 12x350g axion soap
11. 8 gallons beans
12. 30 kg buka fish
This food will finish on the 28th of November, 2012.
INJURIES/ILLNESSES
There has been an outbreak of chicken pox, but most of our kids are being treated at the health centre. It is very contagious, so we’ve been asking kids to stay home for a while and come back when they are ok.
Otherwise, as at now almost all the kids have been treated against it.
ATTENDANCE/ABSENTEEISM
The attendance has been good despite a few absents here and there.
Each class has received a new broom, thanks so much for these purchases.
TEACHERS
The teachers are also doing very well in their duties. Students will start writing the end of year assessments on Monday the 19th day of November,2012.
2013 GRADE ONE ENROLLMENT
We had interviews for the 2013 grade one intake and we hope to select 25 new students.
Next week Friday we will have an Annual General Meeting with parents to discuss among other issues the cooks for next year, the parent school committee etc.
