School Report

July 5, 2013 / OMNI / School Reports

Dear Karen,

All is well with the school programs.

ATTENDANCE/ABSENTEEISM
The attendance has continued to improve each day. The meeting which we had with parents and guardians concerning the students attendance policy has really helped us so much. Thank you for approving the attendance policy.

Kidron and I visited the parents and guardians to the listed students to inform them formally about their welfare at school.
ILLNESSES/INJURIES
Felista is still in hospital. This week, one girl (Eunice), a 2nd grader had malaria and was taken to clinic. She is currently on treatment and is responding well. The rest are doing well health wise.

Alice’s baby is still not very well — though out of hospital.

NORTHRISE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
We are very happy to inform you that a group of 20 students form the university have been coming to our school for the whole week to help us.

They have been very helpful in the following activities as part of their community services:
-Reading
-writing
-computing numbers
-word chains
-the Alphabet and playing some games with our students.

Some students donated some pencils to our lovely children.

Am so happy for this partnership. Am told that another group of about 20 students will be coming next week for five days.

SWEATERS
I have collected all the 208 sweaters, and so far 69 are done with the logos. Another bunch has been taken for logos today. I hope all logos will be done by Friday next week.

Blessings,
Teddy
