Long Overdue Update
It has been several weeks since I have updated you all on our life here in Ndola. We have had quite a number of things happen that have kept us very busy!
I have been contacting several contractors about finishing some of the projects that are unfinished that will will help beautify our campus significantly. One of them is a round thatched hut that will be the centerpiece of our campus. It will be wonderful once it is complete but I have been very busy trying to explain exactly what I want to several contractors as to ensure a quality finished product. The second project I have been working on is expanding a garage we had built to house one of our OMNI Vehicles. The existing structure is not wide enough and so it needs part of it to be torn down so as to build it back properly.
Another big job that has consumed much of my time has been preparing the clinic for construction. Back in October, 2011, OMNI had a fundraiser in Ohio for the construction of a medical clinic on our site here in Ndola. Many people in the surrounding community have no access to basic medical care. Those that can travel the thirty minutes to an hour to the nearby clinic find that there are no medications at those clinics. Our hope is to build a clinic that can stabilize patients and dispense basic medications to those around the OMNI Village.

We have a small garden that we hope to expand into a very large garden that can provide food for the children. We have also been preparing our chicken coup for chickens that we can grow and then use to provide protein for our children once a week.
It has been very exciting January and February and we have not even been here a month! We have come to love the teachers and students at OMNI and believe God did a wonderful thing calling us to Zambia! We hope to provide many more stories and pictures of students in the coming weeks. Stay tuned…
