Day 7
The team made the 2+ hour drive into the deep bush to set up the clinic under the tree of life in Chisapa.
As history would have it, our trailer broke down less than a third of a mile from the site. All of our duffel bags had to be off-loaded on to our vehicles.
Had a great clinic with a crowd of over 700 waiting. We had to do a rapid triage again at 4pm, and only saw the critical babies. We treated 576 people — many that were very ill. Dr Jeannette performed one local surgery.
We had a successful exit of the bush. Tired but awesome and talented team.
