School Updates

Dear Madam,

The OMNI school is reported to be safe and sound with normal working and learning activities going on.

Welfare of the students is reported as follows;

Week 2

Grade 1 Mutoya (malaria) , Catherine(malaria), and Philimon(vomiting)

Grade 5
Juliet (wound)

Grade 6
Anthony (stomach pain)

The grade eight class is doing fine and lessons are being delivered very well.

Welfare of staff members is reported to be fair.

We received a Team from USA who come to OMNI Zambia for business trip on the 21st of January 2018. During the trip the OMNI President and other board members successfully managed to check and updated students medical records from grade one to eight and treated all the sick students and staff members.

The team also treated the George compound chairperson who is was very sick and provided home feed support for him and his family.

The Team equally inspected the new classroom block which is now complete and was impressed with the progress made on this project.

The Team also did a ground breaking for the construction of the ablution block which will have five toilets for the boys and five for girls. Progress made so far on the ablution block is at Window level.

The president, board members and OMNI leadership had a successful meeting with the District education standards officer who represented the provincial educational officer who was currently out of office at the time of visit and during the meeting Government appreciated and recommended OMNI for the partnership in education with the Government and promised to provide additional teachers to the school and upgrade the school to grade 10 and 12 respectively.

During the business trip the National news paper Times of Zambia equally took time to interview the OMNI President and the Director on the background and future plans for OMNI school and this article come out in the news paper.

The team equally reviewed the plots that have been subdivided and noted how many have been sold and the ones remaining on the ground.

The business trip was very successful and the team left for USA on the 27th January 2018.
