Chlorine Pills Donations
Zambia is currently facing a cholera epidemic. There are no reports of cholera at the OMNI School, with our students, or at the town of George. However, the nearby town of Ndola has a few cases reported.
The cholera cases have so far surged to 2,451 as of 7 January, 2018 with 58 deaths recorded since the outbreak in October last year.
The government has ordered that all schools stay closed until January 30th to ascertain whether it is safe for the schools to open or not.
The closure of schools country-wide is in line with SI 79, and, during the closure, a thorough check on the water and sanitation conditions will be conducted in all schools.
