Can you help the 2019 OMNI Mission Trip?

OMNI needs your help to make the 2019 Mission Trip possible.

For the mission trip each year, we require a core team or doctors, nurses, and staff. Your donation will ensure that OMNI has the necessary staff for success.

A letter from Sunny Newhouse, a 2019 Mission Trip Registered Nurse from Puerto Rico:

“Muli Shani! Greetings!

Being a member of team OMNI allows me to utilize my nursing skills while expanding my knowledge of another culture; as well as experiencing the injustice of members our global society. How can one live without electricity- clean running water, 3 meals a day- or the basic necessities of what we in the U.S. call “normal?”

In 2016, I was impressed that one would wait hours for a cough drop- something that we have a tendency to take for granted. In addition, knowing there are those suffering from glaucoma and other illnesses and there is nothing we can do to help except to be kind and offer a genuine smile or a salutation of Lesa Amapale (God bless you). I experienced our team of 14, working together to serve 3700 people, of all ages, as long as it took us to finish, in 9 clinics, and positively impact the health of those with venereal disease, children’s stomachs swollen with worms, faces distorted due to domestic violence and wounds that festered until treated by our team. We gave rice kits to emaciated elders literally starving and birthing kits to pregnant women in hopes that their baby be born safely at their home. Why would I go back? Why would I not go back? I believe that I made a difference and if I have the opportunity, I will again strive to be an integral part of the team, my OMNI family, and positively impact each person that comes my way.

Planting seeds of compassion, caring, and love to strangers, our brothers and sisters from elsewhere brings a joy that I knew was missing- somewhere- from within me. I say this because I experienced the extraordinary joy of serving our Zambian communities with a team that has and will continue to change our world- one small community at a time. I want to be with that team! I witnessed the impact of helping others when visiting our school and hearing the songs of almost 300 happy children from the Georges community. I am forever changed by my experiences, but acknowledge there is still much to do. I offer my time and experience, but I already know that by loving others we receive more joy and satisfaction than imagined. Under the guidance of OMNI veterans- Karen, Dr. Maicki, H2, Gil, Jane, and Chriss, I was, and again hope to be a part of this amazing outreach.

With your help, I will represent each of you so that together we can affect necessary change.”

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.John 5:16

Your donation makes a difference!

Each year, OMNI provides medical care to thousands of men, women, and children in remote areas of Zambia. But, we can only do so with your help. From $5 to $500, every little bit helps!
