Yesterday, we had a challenging yet amazing day in Mansansa, which is near the Congo border.<\/p>\n
The rustic wood building that we had our clinic in was deteriorated significantly and was being propped up by tree limbs.<\/p>\n
The team saw over 360 patients and did very well.<\/p>\n
I was called away very early by the woman, named Jane, who was being physically abused by her husband. She was willing to leave with her family and be rescued. So, with two armed guards, we picked her up along with her children. Later, the police picked up her husband, who is now in jail.<\/p>\n
Jane and her six children, ages 3 months to 14 years, now live safely in a new township. She is safe, well fed, and has been given food from OMNI. Jane will be employed by OMNI and will clean, cook, and plant flowers around the school. We are praying for a sponsor for this very special and grateful family.<\/p>\n
The team is headed to Mackenzie this morning. <\/p>\n
