Be prepared to travel around the world! The Virginia Tech Carilion
School of Medicine’s spring Mini Medical School will explore issues relating to
global health and international medicine.
On April 5, Dr. Thomas Kerkering, professor of medicine and chief of infectious
diseases, will present an overview titled, “What is Global Health?” He will be
followed by a series of short presentations by local organizations engaged in
international medical outreach and education.
