Medical Mission Trip

We received the medical team from U.S.A on the 4th June 2017 and a total number of 15 members came through to Zambia and the OMNI president was the leader of the team. The USA team was supported by the Zambian OMNI staff members. We managed to take hold of eight successful clinics around the Copper Belt province.

The Mackenzie clinic on the 13th June 2017 was supported by the Ndola Rotary club where the Rotary club president High Court Judge Timothy Katenewa time-honored the medical team. During his visit, five government and private TV stations, radio and newspaper printers interviewed the OMNI president, and this was on the national TV main news that same night and newspapers the following day.

The last clinic we had was a new clinic at Kapepa which was equally supported by Ndola Rotary and the deputy mayor of Luanshya town. By 06:00 am they were over 600 plus patients waiting for the medical team to treat them and OMNI treated them all.

The medical team for 2017 managed to see and treat 3,374 patients and the people on the copper-belt are most appreciating the services and requesting the OMNI President and board to consider coming to Zambia twice in the year for the medical trip as this is the only chance they get to be checked, cared for, loved, fed and treated at no cost.

Patients who were referred to the hospital OMNI took care of all the costs of Admission by providing a book, transportation and food. Without the OMNI medical clinic people will be dying with various health challenges.

The medical team was invited for a meeting and lunch by the Rotary president where he thanked OMNI for the righteous work we are doing and for the consolidation of the partnership between OMNI and Ndola Rotary.

The team departed Zambia for USA on the 16th June 2017.

SINCERELY,
DERRICK KALINDA, OMNI DIRECTOR
