Dear Karen,

The school programs are going on very well. The teachers will start assessing all the students next week in readiness for a break later in the month.

Clara and James have not yet reported since school started and their whereabouts is not known yet.

Attendance

Grade 1
The average attendance is 46/50. Philemon has malaria and is on medication.
Grade 2
The average attendance is 40/43.
Grade 3
The average attendance is 38/40. Wamana has malaria and is on medication.
Grade 4
The average attendance is 39/43.
Philemon was in hospital for abdominal pain. He underwent a surgery, and currently out of hospital and responding well to medication.
Grade 5
The average attendance is 36/40.
Grade 6
The average attendance is 33/36.
Grade 7
The average attendance is 34/37.
Grade 8
The average attendance is 34/38.
Grade 9
The average attendance is 23/28. Iwino has stopped attending classes. His patents told us that the boy is no longer interested in school.

All the teachers are well and are executing their duties diligently.
